These are the main features:
The SUUNTO Advizor provides 5 main functions with various sub-functions:
- Time keeping (TIME)
- Time and date, calendar pre-programmed up to the year 2089
- Two time zones
- Three daily alarms
- Stop watch with 30 split times, works together with heart rate monitor
- Count down with interval functions (training-recovery), works together with heart rate monitor
- Altimeter (ALTI)
- Range: -500 .. +9000 m, rsp. -1600 .. +29500 feet
- Resolution : 5 m, rsp. 10 feet
- Measures the current vertical ascent or descent speed. Performs one measuring per second for the first three minutes and then one measuring every ten seconds.
- Altitude alarm
- Altitude difference measuring
- Automatic measuring of the altitude and the current vertical speed every hour for the last 24 hours.
- Log feature stores the following information:
- Date and time
- Average vertical ascent speed and total ascent
- Average vertical descent speed and total descent
- Number of labs (a new lap starts after a decent of at least 50 m, rsp. 150 feet while ascending or vise a versa)
- Average, minimum and maximum heart rate
- Duration of heart rate above upper limit, duration of heart rate below lower limit, duration of heart rate within limit (limits are adjustable)
- Barometer (BARO)
- Range: 300 .. 1100 mBar, rsp. 8.90 .. 32.40 inHg
- Resolution: 1 mBar, rsp. 0.05 inHg
- Adjustable pressure on sea level
- Automatic hourly measuring for trend analysis
- Automatic 4-day logging with hourly measurings for the last 6 hours, after that one measuring every 6 hours
- Pressure difference measuring
- Temperature compensation
- Temperature range: -20 .. +60°C, rsp. -5 .. +140°F
- Digital Compass (COMP)
- Heading in degrees and in clear text
- Continuously updated
- Shows deviation from pre-set direction
- Water eye for level control
- Heart rate monitor (pulse) (HRM)
- Range: 20 ... 240 heart beats per minute
- Adjustable upper and lower limit for heart beat rate with acoustic alarm when current value gets outside limits.
- Stores heart beat rate when used together with stop watch or count down
